Typical

So I book a week off work to spend some time alone at home, catch up on some things, do some long term planning and generally sort things out. And what happens?

Well I end up having to call out the doctor for a home visit. Yes, I was so ill that I couldn't even make it down the doctors and he is less than a five minute walk away. Although why I bothered to cal him out I don't know.

'I've got this really bad cold, it may be flu, and I think I've also pulled a muscle in my back which means I can't move'

'Yes, I think you do have a viral infection. Where does your back hurt?'

'Here'

'Right. Do you do any exercise?'

'Well actually I think it was the sit-ups I was doing that may have pulled the muscle in my back'

(he laughs)

'Well it is good to exercise, bye'

Me thinks I may have to exorcise my doctor and find one who actually does some doctoring. My current one is about as much use as a tanning salon in the sahara.

At least you got yours to do a home visit! I'd done something to my shoulder playing rugby which meant I couldn't drive, no one could take me and the Doctor wouldn't come out so I had to walk 4 miles to the surgery.

All I got for my trouble is "There's nothing I can do apart from give you some cream". This is now a standing joke when refering to this "Doctor", or maybe that should be Quack?

Anyway, went back a week later, saw another Doc and within 30 seconds the trapped nerve in my shoulder was fixed (you have to love doctors who do alternative medicine and massage).

Well, Big Guy, it does seem to be a pattern for you to get sick when you have a few days off. I am beginning to wonder if perhaps this is a syptom. (raises an eyebrow) LOL What do you think?

Yep, you need a new doctor. Though I must say I am impressed that he actually came to your house. I didn't think they did that anymore. Must be your unending charm :D :P

Hope you get to feeling all better just in time to return to work. :D LOL Take care of you.
